Open your mouth

When you abandon yourself
headlong
turn your back
slam the door
you grow
you flood
call into question
the height of the banks

to explain that
you're talking about the soul
you open your mouth
sigh
- yet love overpowers you
face to face

when you leave yourself
suddenly
you take your blood, honey
unsolved question from childhood

What is man?
Your step gets heavier all the time
as you cross the frontiers
you know yourself that you aren't quite yourself

You exhibit doubt
at all events
the soul has its facets
which you cannot abuse
which you cannot betray
so you cannot return
so he cannot return
but nothing can beautify the feet,
fructify them, believe it or not,
show your hands what a deluge is
and make a report

if don't understand you
open your mouth
blow!
